Back in 2014 Rait Arro participated in the Estonian Creative Business Cup for the first time, and now he is a winner of the Red Dot Product Design Award 2021!

Rait Arro joined forces with Mihkel Masso and together they designed a modular splint, Sheetsplint. The pair participated in Creative Business Cup Estonia in 2019 with the product, and now they are both winners of a Red Dot Product Design Award! Sheetsplint is an universal splint that helps doctors fix injured limb injuries in the pre-hospital stage. The lightweight and compact product consists of splint modules with identical folding contours, which allow the splints to be combined for one to several victims, depending on the nature of their injuries.

This award recognized the high quality of Estonian design in the world’s largest and best-known competition. The Red Dot Award recognizes outstanding industrial design and highlights the design team that developed the concept. For the first time, a product created by Estonians has won the Red Dot award in the medical device category.
