How does Creative Business Cup work?

Each year National Partners around the world host national Creative Business Cup competitions. As a startup, the National Partner in your country is your entry point to competing as a finalist at Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen.

National winners from around the world compete against each other at Creative Business Cup Global Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark. For information on the 2019 programme, click here. If you are a creative startup without a National Partner in your country, click here.

An international jury selects the winners based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity: Creative competencies are crucial for the success of the business concept.
  • Market potential: The business concept has a large market potential

The objectives of Creative Business Cup are tied to empowering the global creative economy. We do this through :

  • Supporting creative startups with business development and international market access
  • Improved access to finance through initiatives in investor readiness
  • Global networking with startups, investors, companies and governmental entities
  • Capacity building of entrepreneurship organisations
  • Strengthened regional collaboration
  • Offering innovation partnerships and training to businesses
  • Development of global or regional accelerators

The prizes for Creative Business Cup 

Creative Business Cup turns the spotlight on new entrepreneurial businesses in the creative industries to motivate, train and develop the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Participants have the chance to win a variety of prizes to help them build their ideas and concepts into sustainable businesses.
