Pitching for a Better Baltic Sea is kicking off this 28 October in the serene land of Dokk 1, Aarhus Harbour!
Pitching for a Better Baltic Sea is about developing transnational cross-sectoral partnerships in the Baltic Sea Region within creative industries. The congregation consists of Danish, Latvia and German startups SMEs, incubators and CCI organizations.
Pitching for a Better Baltic Sea evinces how UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for climate change and sustainability can generate value, provide direction and lead toward the innovation and investments of the future.
The project is developed in regards to the EU Interreg project Creative Ports and is a continuation of the creative industries collaboration between Denmark and Latvia, inaugurated by the former Latvian President Raimonds Vējonis and HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark.
Moreover, the project links with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 12 and 13. Goal 12 tackles promotions towards resource and energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure and giving access to basic services, green and decent jobs and a better quality of life for everyone. Furthermore, Goal 13 is about affordable, scalable solutions coordinated at an international level to enable countries to leapfrog to cleaner, more resilient economies.
