With over 35 years as a professional in the Danish music industry, Jesper Mardahl has been around most corners of the music scene.
Initially quite literally as a musician, but since then most "behind the scenes" in the role of A&R manager, producer, label manager, and promotion and marketing manager at a large number of the leading music companies in Denmark, including big local labels such as Genlyd Grammofon, Medley Records and Sonet Dansk Grammofon, but also working for major labels such as BMG Ariola and EMI Music.
Later as project manager at the country's largest music magazine, GAFFA, co-developer of the Music Management program at the Royal Academy of Music,
lecturer, censor, panelist and speaker at international industry festivals such as SXSW, Eurosonic, By:Larm, Canadian Music Week, Reeperbahn Festival, Vill Vill Vest, The Great Escape and SPOT +, - and now as the managing director of the country's only network platform for the professional music community, Promus. Furthermore, Jesper has been the initiator of Music City Aarhus and also co-founder of the international, Music Cities Network.
Since 2015, Jesper has also been the conference manager for SPOT + - the conference branch of the SPOT Festival.
