Marieke Jonker (MA Preservation & Presentation of the Moving Image) started as a film programmer of cinema De Uitkijk in Amsterdam. In 2008 she co-founded Amstelfilm BV, an arthouse film distribution company. From start, all content was provided in 35mm and digital. Searching for new business models in the digital age, she founded We Want Cinema, an innovative, disruptive and award winning online platform on which customers could demand one-off cinema screenings. Marieke was Head of Content at Vue in The Netherlands, where she introduced Cinema Intelligence and focused on technical synergy within the organization besides programming 21 theatres with her team. Currently she works as CSM for Cinema Intelligence, being responsible for implementation of AI software in the largerst cinema chains internationally.

Marieke is entrepreneurial, solution oriented and likes to move between new technologies and visual art.
