Phil joined Syntrinsic as Chief Investment Officer, effective December 1, 2020. He oversaw investment strategy and manager due diligence for Syntrinsic’s Investment Committee and facilitated its consensus driven decision-making process.

Effective April 1, 2021, Phil became Syntrinsic’s first Chief Impact Officer. Phil now guides the firm efforts in building and supporting our impact investment capabilities, and serves clients of the firm who seek more positive impact outcomes in their investment portfolios.

Phil is also the Founder of Impact Metropolis, a social network and video hosting site dedicated to the sustainable and impact investing community.

Previously, Phil was Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Capital Group. Phil serves on the board and on the Executive Committee of Calvert Impact Capital (formerly the Calvert Foundation). He recently served on the board and Executive Committee of US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, and was Treasurer of the US SIF Foundation. Phil also recently completed a term on the Advisory Council to the City of Denver Office of Sustainability, by appointment of the Mayor of Denver, and chaired its Finance Committee.
