Soumeya is the COO of Digital Africa, a French initiative that aims to unlock access to resources, knowledge, opportunities and networks for impact-oriented entrepreneurs in Africa. Focused on economic inclusivity through entrepreneurship and capacity building, Soumeya’s strengths derive mainly from developing and designing international programmes favouring women empowerment and youth leadership and innovation. French Qualified Lawyer, Soumeya developed her skills while working with high level Law Firms in the United-Kingdom, France, Belgium, India and Algeria, counselling governments, international organisations, multinationals and small businesses, liaising with international lawyers, companies and public authorities. Soumeya has been involved in International Arbitration, Merger Control and Competition Law cases. She is a founding member of GEN Algeria, an affiliate of the Global Entrepreneurship Network headquartered in Washington D.C. GEN Global operates a platform of projects and initiatives in 170+ countries and brings together a collection of programmes that are aimed at helping people turn their ideas into promising new ventures and strengthening economic stability around the world by building more inclusive economies. Soumeya speaks four languages and is committed to building communities and helping aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into profitable businesses.
